Full description
The tour begins with hotel pickup and a drive through Beydağları National Park along a 7 km forest road to the base cable car station at 726 m. The Olympos Cable Car makes a round-trip ascent to Tahtalı (Olympos) summit at 2,365 m; the cabin ascent and descent each take about 10 minutes. From the cabin and summit visitors can see the Mediterranean coast, the surrounding mountains and pine forests; local wildlife such as mountain goats and birds of prey may be encountered. At the summit there are souvenir shops and a restaurant, and time is provided for walking around before returning by cable car.
