After Nara, proceed to Uji to walk streets known for matcha products and matcha-colored soba noodles, and to visit either Byodo-in Omotesando and Byodo-in Temple or the Tale of Genji Museum, which uses multimedia displays about The Tale of Genji. Conclude at Genji no Yu, a natural hot spring in Uji with three indoor baths and one outdoor bath; the facility draws water from 1,111 meters underground and has traditional-style architecture.
