Full description

The itinerary includes a visit to Ine Bay to see the traditional two-story funaya boat houses, where boats are stored on the ground floor and living quarters are above. There is time to walk the streets of Ine Town and to visit Ineura Park for closer views of the shoreline architecture. An optional sightseeing boat on Ine Bay provides views of the funaya from the water. The program also includes a cable car (ropeway) option to Amanohashidate Viewland observatory to view the Amanohashidate sandbar; a traditional “upside-down” viewing method at the observatory is noted locally. The route typically includes Chionji Temple, dedicated to Monju Bosatsu, where visitors can draw fan-shaped omikuji, and a crossing of the rotating bridge to walk the Amanohashidate sandbar.
