Full description
The itinerary begins at Nara Park with a walk among the free-roaming deer and the opportunity to feed them with deer crackers. The tour continues to Fushimi Inari Taisha to walk through the torii gates along Mount Inari and to visit the main shrine and ema (fox-shaped prayer plaques). In the afternoon there is time in Arashiyama to visit the bamboo grove, see the Kimono Forest (kimono-textile pillars) near Arashiyama Station, and use the Arashiyama Station footbath (onsen-style). The Sagano Romantic Train along the Hozugawa River Gorge and through the countryside of Kameoka is offered as an optional activity at your own expense.

- A fair amount of walking is involved — please wear comfortable shoes and clothes.
