Full description
Meet in front of the Oriental Hotel Fukuoka (Lawson convenience store, near Hakata Station Chikushi Exit) for a guided day trip by vehicle from Fukuoka to Kumamoto and the Aso area. The itinerary includes a visit to Kumamoto Castle and the adjacent Sakurano-baba Josaien shopping area, a stop at Kumamon Square (mascot appearances follow local schedules; a round-trip walk in the area takes about 30 minutes), transfer to the Mount Aso area with access to crater viewpoints subject to volcanic activity and local safety restrictions, time on the Kusasenri Grasslands with optional horseback rides, and a visit to the Aso Volcano Museum (museum entrance not included). The route also includes a stop at Aso Roadside Station for local produce and souvenirs, including a statue from the Kumamoto x One Piece project, before returning to Fukuoka.
